SMS is happy to announce a new agreement with Spacecom the operator of the AMOS satellite fleet, to provide the uplink services for a new European TV Distribution Platform.
The service will be distributed throughout EMEA over the AMOS-6 satellite’s Ku Pan-European beam from its 4°W prime orbital position.
The new platform that will be managed by Encompass will provide channels and other content providers with a complete, comprehensive solution for all playout, uplink and European space segments, for a full range of media distribution services over the satellite.
AMOS-6 is scheduled to launch during the third quarter of 2016 from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. The satellite includes 3 Ku-Band beams covering Middle East, Central East Europe (CEE) and Pan-Europe; and 36 HTS Ka-band spot beams over sub-Sahara Africa and Europe.
