Yamal 402 (55° East)

Yamal 402 is a Communications Satellite operated by Gazprom Space Systems, manufactured by Thales Alenia Space in France.  The 10kW Communications Payload consists of 46 Ku-Band transponders forming four fixed communications beams: a Russian beam, Northern Beam, Southern Beam and a European Beam. 

This satellite also features a steerable beam. The Satellite provides inter-beam connection capability to provide high flexibility. The satellite has 36, 54 and 72 MHz transponders, two solar arrays and on-board batteries form the electrical system of the satellite.
