SpaceX has released today a press statement confirming the investigation into the anomaly causing a total loss of the Amos 6 satellite along with the Falcon 9 launch rocket is still underway. The report says the incident is being investigated by the Accident Investigation Team comprised of members of Space X, the FAA, NASA, US Airforce and industry experts. Space X reports from all systems operating normally to total loss of data is approximately 93 Milliseconds. Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the failure, earlier reports indicating that “initial investigations suggest that a large breach in the second stage oxygen tank took place”, has now been amended to – “the cause of the potential breach remains unknown”.
