SMS would like to congratulate all parties involved in the successful launch of the AMOS-17 satellite!
The Spacecom satellite was successfully launched on Tuesday 6th August 2019 on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida at 7:23pm Eastern Time.
The AMOS-17 satellite is designed to provide broadcast and broadband connectivity services across sub-Saharan Africa, Europe, the Middle East and parts of Asia.
Bulit by Boeing, the satellite carries a mix of C-, Ku- and Ka-band transponders, plus a digital channelizer for improved capacity allocation and signal interference mitigation.
